| Although
an attraction for thousands of tourists starved for most of the year
in their home countries of any hint of decent weather, it is common
knowledge that the heat in Spain can be oppressive to say the least,
especially in the summer months, when phrases like ‘you could
fry an egg on the bonnet of your car’ and ‘I can hardly
breathe’ simply don’t do justice to the situation. Of course for holidaymakers happy to remain submerged in a swimming pool for a fortnight before making their escape back to cooler climates this may not seem quite so bad. For those tourists who like a bit of variety, though, and most certainly for those people living and working in Spain, the heat may well become a problem. Animals too can suffer severely from overheating, many dying each year as a result. We were shocked the first summer we spent here to find that at certain times it was necessary to shut the door and windows to keep the heat out. Putting your feet in buckets of water, taking regular cold showers or dousing yourself on the terraza or in the garden with a hosepipe do provide some relief, but are certainly not always very practical and are never ideal. Now the good news. A company based in Malaga called Keep Your Kool is marketing an affordable and easy-to-install cooling system, which can make life more enjoyable both in a leisure and working environment. Billed as an ideal solution for patios, BBQ areas, outdoor bars and restaurants, the system, which offers high performance at low cost, operates by providing ultra fine droplets of water that emerge from spray nozzles at high pressure and are immediately vaporised. The effect is known as ‘flash cooling’, which leaves you or your animals cool, but not soaking wet. This ‘low water consumption misting system’ is rapidly gaining in popularity, having already been installed on several restaurant patios, a rural hotel near Alora and the Refugio del Burrito in Fuente de Piedra. As well as providing cooling for people and animals, the system is reputed to be perfect too for concrete curing, greenhouse humidification, greenhouse cooling, odour control and dust suppression. An added bonus - not only does it keep you cool but it also it greatly reduces the number of wasps and other flying insects. |

una atracción para los millares de turistas quienes no tienen
por la mayoría del año en sus países ningun tiempo
decente, es conocimiento común que el calor en España
puede ser opresivo decir el lo menos, especialmente en los meses del
verano, cuando las frases como ‘se puede freír un huevo
en el capo de su coche' y ‘no puedo espirar' no hago simplemente
la justicia a la situación. Por supuesto para los touristas
felices seguir sumergido en una piscina por una quincena antes de
hacer su fuga de nuevo a climas más frescos esto puede no parecerse
absolutamente tan malo. Para esos turistas que prefieren una poca
variedad, aunque, y lo más ciertamente posible para esa gente
que vive y que trabaja en España, el calor puede ser un problema.
Los animales pueden sufrir también seriamente del recalentamiento,
muchos que mueren cada año consecuentemente. Tuvimos un choque
el primer verano que pasamos aquí para encontrar que a veces
era necesario cerrar la puerta y las ventanas para guardar el calor
hacia fuera. Poner sus pies en cubos de agua, tomar duchas frías
regulares proporcionan una cierta relevación, pero no son ciertamente
siempre muy práctico y nunca son ideal. Ahora las buenas noticias. Una compañía basada en Málaga que se llama Keep Your Kool esta veniendo un sistema de enfriamiento, que puede hacer vida más agradables ambos en un ocio y un entorno de trabajo. Puede ser una solución ideal para los patios, las áreas de la barbacoa, los bares al aire libre y los restaurantes. El sistema que ofrece alto rendimiento, funciona proporcionando las gotitas ultra finas del agua que emergen de inyectores de aerosol en la alta presión y se vaporizan inmediatamente. El efecto se conoce como ‘flash cooling’, que deja tu o sus animales frescos, pero no empapar mojado. Este sistema está ganando rápidamente en renombre, ya siendo instalado en varios patios del restaurantes, un hotel rural cerca de Álora y el Refugio del Burrito en Fuente de Piedra. Así como el abastecimiento de refrescarse para la gente y los animales, el sistema es reputado ser perfecto también para curar hormigón, la humectación del invernadero, refrescarse del invernadero, el control del olor y la supresión de polvo. Una prima agregada - no sólo te mantiene fresco sino que también él reduce grandemente el número de avispas y de otros insectos del vuelo. |
