exquisite Candela Restaurante, run by the extremely friendly and
welcoming Marie Pepa, is a celebration of high-class Andalucian
cuisine. Dedicated to her grandparents, from whom she is sure she
inherited her love of cooking, the Candela is beautifully decorated
and furnished, with a perfect combination of old-fashioned luxury
and contemporary charm. The sumptuous interior, which is cosy and
warm in winter and has huge windows which are opened out on hot
summer nights, is ideally complemented by a delightful terrace,
very tempting for lunches, either in the cooling shade of an umbrella
or the warming sunshine, and just right for romantic evenings overlooking
the magically lit Castillo Arabe or Arab Castle. Marie Pepa is passionate about food, although her greatest satisfaction comes from seeing others enjoy it. "The food I serve is homecooked," she says, " it is important that people enjoy it. If the plates come back to the kitchen completely empty," she says, "then I am happy." Wine is another passion, an extensive collection of bottles attractively stored in their own climatically controlled room. The standard of service is high and the prices very reasonable. Local residents visit the Candela often, an excellent recommendation for visitors to the town, who seldom leave the restaurant without broad smiles of satisfaction and a determination to return. |

restaurante exquisito, Candela, dirigido por la muy amable y hospitalaria
Marie Pepa, es una celebracción de la cocina Andaluza de
alta categoría. Dedicado a sus abuelos, de los que esta segura
que heredó su amor de la cocina, el Restaurante Candela esta
decorado buenissimo, con una combinación del lujo anticuado
y del encanto contemporáneo. El interior suntuoso, que esta
acogedor y caliente durante el invierno y tiene las ventanas grandes,
que estan abiertas durante las noches calorosas en verano, esta
complementado por una terraza encantadora, muy tentador para la
comida, o en la sombra refrescante o el sol caliente y también
por las noches romanticas, dando a las luces mágicas del
Castilo Arabe. Marie Pepa esta apasionada sobre la cocina, aún
su satisfacción más grande es ver otras personas disfrutandola.
"La comida aqui es casera," dice, "es importante
que la gente le guste. Si los platos vuelvan a la cocina completemente
vaciós," dice, "estoy feliz." El vino es otra pasión, una colección amplia de las botellas guardada en una bodega que esta controlada climatizada. El nivel del servicio es muy alta y los precios muy razonables. La gente local visita el Restaurante Candela con frecuencia, una recomendación excelente para las visitas al pueblo, quienes salen rara vez del restaurante sin las sonrisas amplias de la satisfacción y una determinación a volver. |
